How District Zero decides

District Zero compares offers and adds context. This page explains how we use prices, availability and history — and when we prefer not to make a recommendation.

Facts → interpretation → verdict

Every verdict is built in three steps, never in reverse. First the facts: prices and availability our monitoring actually recorded across the stores we track. Then the interpretation: what those facts mean (supply is thinning, the price is below average…). Only then the verdict: what we would do in your place. Every verdict carries a "Show the evidence" control — the exact numbers it was built from. We never ask for blind trust.

Where the knowledge comes from

Tracked data
Measured by our own monitoring: prices, availability, restocks and history across the European stores we track. Always with scope and freshness. This is the default, unmarked source of every claim.
Editorial knowledge
Verifiable facts curated by District Zero humans — official release dates, product contents, store shipping terms. Carries a label.
Collector patterns
Collector experience: e.g. anniversary and limited lines have historically appreciated after release. Always labeled, never presented as measurements — and over time every pattern gets its own Academy article explaining it.

The verdicts

Skvelá kúpaAt or within a hair of the lowest price we have ever tracked, with real availability.
Dobrá kúpaClearly below the tracked average, or well-priced with limited supply.
Zberateľská príležitosťPriced above average, but other verified collector signals may still make it worth closer attention.
Obmedzená dostupnosťSo few stores have it that availability, not price, is the deciding factor.
Férová cenaIn line with the market. Neither a bargain nor a premium.
Vysoká prirážkaWell above the norm for a product that isn't hard to find.
VyčkaťAbove average with steady supply — the price has room to come down.
Strážiť naskladnenieNo monitored store has it in stock — we suggest an alert instead of a purchase.
Zbierame dátaWe don't have enough reliable evidence for a recommendation yet.

What we never do

We never invent data. A claim without evidence simply isn't made.
We never sell verdicts. Affiliate relationships don't influence verdicts, rankings or the DZ Pick.
We never fake certainty. When the evidence isn't there, we stay silent.
We never hide our sources. Every verdict is auditable down to the numbers.
